I'm looking to build a new gaming PC with a budget of around $2500. My current setup is about 10 years old and can't handle newer games like Claire Obscure and Helldivers 2. My goal is to play everything on at least 1080p at 60fps, but if I can swing it, I'd love to run some games in 4K or even at 120fps. I'm feeling overwhelmed by all the options out there and just want to know what some good value CPU and GPU choices are within my price range. Any suggestions for a solid build that will last me for another 10 years?

For the CPU, look at the R5 7600X3D or R7 7800X3D. For the GPU, an RX 9060 XT would handle 1440p gaming well; you could even go for the 9070 if you want better performance. Make sure to grab an AM5 B850 motherboard and avoid AsRock since they've had some issues lately. If aesthetics matter, check out Gigabyte‘s stealth motherboard—it looks clean!
With a $2500 budget, you can get yourself into a solid 4K build, or at least something that plays most games at 1440p on ultra. If you're just aiming for 1080p at 60fps, you could save some cash. I would recommend pairing a 7800X3D or 9800X3D with a 5070Ti. If you can hit up a Microcenter, you might find a great deal on a bundle for CPU, motherboard, and RAM. I just grabbed a 7800X3D with a 5070Ti for my build!
You should definitely consider a 9800X3D with a 5080 and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. This combo would easily let you hit 4K at 80+ fps. Just double-check your PSU to make sure it’s around 850W from a reliable brand like Corsair or Seasonic. You're in a good spot to get an awesome gaming experience!
Good call on the PSU! It's crucial not to skimp on that part.

That sounds like a solid setup! The 7800X3D is really great for performance without breaking the bank!
