I've recently run some benchmarks on my 5070 Ti OC edition using 3D Mark Steel Nomad, and I'm averaging a score of 6600. Is this score within the normal range? For context, I have it paired with a 7800X3D processor. I also noticed that after closing all my background programs like Discord and iCUE, my score bumped up to 7000. Should I be concerned about the initial score I got?

I have the same setup and I scored 6800. Being 200 points off isn’t bad at all! It’s normal for scores to fluctuate based on settings and background tasks running during benchmarking.

Okay, thanks! That makes me feel better. I’ll keep optimizing and see if I can match that.

3D Mark scores are pretty helpful for comparing performance among similar setups, so it’s good you’re checking where you land. The average score is around 6916 for this card, so with your 6600, you’re slightly below average but not too far off. It's also common for people to score differently due to various factors, so don't stress too much!

Yeah, it’s a new card, so some variability is expected. Just keep an eye on your temperatures and performance in real games!
