Hey everyone! I'm trying to decide whether to keep or return a 4TB SSD I recently bought. My PC build includes two 2TB Samsung 990 Pro SSDs and a 2TB HDD, giving me a total of 6TB storage. I mainly use it for gaming, some office tasks, and light video editing. I initially planned to keep the OS and games on the SSDs while using the HDD for office work and media. Since I wouldn't be needing the additional SSD space for the next 3-4 years, I'm contemplating its necessity. I got it at a good sale before recent price hikes at 380 CAD, but I'm unsure if I should return it or hold onto it for possible future needs. What do you all think?

In my opinion, you can never have too much storage—especially with the way prices are trending. You bought it on sale, so you might regret returning it later when prices spike again. Plus, in a few years, if you need more space, you'll be glad you have it.
Honestly, I say keep it. It's better to have that extra space sitting in a box than needing to upgrade later when prices go up. You never know when you'll need more storage, especially if you dive deeper into video editing or gaming in the future.
It really depends on your needs. If you're mainly gaming and doing light office work, 6TB could be plenty. Just think about what apps and files you'll have in a few years. Don't let FOMO drive your decision—think it through! If you feel secure with your current setup, you might be okay without it.
You got a solid setup already. 6TB is quite generous for most users, and if you're cautious about budget, returning it could help. But if you're in a position to get the SSD and you think you'll find a use for it eventually, go ahead and keep it.
Definitely consider your usage. If you find yourself getting into video editing more, you'll thank yourself for the extra space. 4TB isn’t too much at all for editing and project files!
