I've recently upgraded to an Aorus Master RTX 4070 Ti Super from my old 3070, and I have a couple of questions about the power setup. My previous GPU used 2x 8-pin PCIe cables from my PSU using a pig-tail connector, and now I've gotten an adapter for the required 12VHPWR outlet on the new GPU.
1. Are my two PCIe cables sufficient to power the 4070 Ti Super, or should I be looking to add another cable? I'm not planning on overclocking the GPU, but it does come factory overclocked.
2. Do I need two or three separate PCIe cables? I've heard that using pig-tail cables can be risky for the GPU, but other sources say it's okay.
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

It's great that you're upgrading! For the 4070 Ti Super, it's generally recommended to have two separate PCIe cables going to the adapter. Since it's close to a 300-watt GPU, using a single cable with a daisy chain connector might not be the best idea, as it could potentially harm your GPU or lead to reduced performance. If your PSU doesn't support at least two native PCIe cables, it might be time to consider an upgrade, especially if you're eyeing a future-proof setup.

I do have the RM750X, which should handle the voltage but doesn't have the native 12VHPWR slot. I'll stick with using 3 separate cables then.
