Struggling with Low FPS on Hogwarts Legacy with RTX 5060

I recently purchased an RTX 5060 graphics card and initially thought the performance was decent. However, I'm experiencing incredibly low frame rates while playing Hogwarts Legacy. Even with all settings maxed out at 1080p, I'm only getting around 30 FPS. I checked out some benchmark videos and saw others achieving around 100 FPS under the same conditions. This has me puzzled—what might be causing this performance issue?

I understand your confusion! Benchmarks can sometimes show ideal conditions that don't reflect real-world performance. Factors like different driver versions, game optimizations, and even thermal throttling can lead to discrepancies between your setup and the benchmarks. It's worth investigating those areas too.

First off, what CPU and motherboard are you using? If your CPU can't keep up with your GPU, you’ll face performance drops, no matter how powerful the RTX 5060 is.

Keep in mind that the RTX 5060 is an 8GB card and falls into the mid-tier category, which means it might not deliver stellar performance in all situations. Just because it’s in the 50 series doesn’t guarantee top-tier specs; it’s still considered mid-range. For more demanding games, 12GB or 16GB cards are generally better suited for smooth gameplay. That said, certain other components also play a role in overall performance.
