Are Budget UPS Devices Safe for My Setup?

I'm experiencing PCIe link lost errors with my network interface cards (NICs) on my Linux system, leading to disconnects, freezes, and reboots. My apartment is in an older house with potentially outdated electrical systems, which makes me suspect there are power-related issues at play. I'm considering affordable tools like a multimeter for diagnostics and possibly investing in a UPS, but I can't spend over $300 (CAD). Is it safe to use a UPS priced around $80, and what should I look for when buying one? Any advice would be appreciated!

You can find decent UPS options from brands like Cyberpower and APC that won't break the bank. They offer good quality for moderate prices, so definitely check those out!
