I'm gearing up to buy my first PC after months of struggle with my laptop that just shuts down whenever I try to play games. I want to make sure I don't overspend, but building my own PC feels incredibly complicated since I don't know where to start. I've checked out various websites, but I still can't keep track of what's what or what would be best for my gaming needs. My budget is under $2000, and here are the games I want to run on this setup: Spider-Man Remastered, Sleeping Dogs with all DLC, Football Manager 2025, SW Jedi: Survivor, and Marvel Rivals.

Since you're new to all this, I recommend looking for a pre-built gaming PC instead of attempting to build one yourself. Start by checking the recommended system requirements for each of your games and find a setup that meets the minimum requirements across the board. Think about what resolution you want to game at; 1080p is great for performance, while 1440p offers more detail without breaking the bank. Websites like Tom's Hardware or PC Mag can help you find some solid pre-built options. Remember, the market can be a bit unpredictable, so keep an eye on prices!

With your budget, you can really get a nice setup! If you're eyeing a resolution like 1440p, you'll be in range for that. For components, a suggested build might include an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X or an Intel Core Ultra 5 245KF as the CPU, a mid-range graphics card like the Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti (make sure to get the 16GB version!), and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. This setup will handle your games well and leave room for upgrades later.

While now might seem like a great time to buy, keep in mind that graphics card prices are pretty high right now. If you're not in a rush, consider waiting a bit for prices to drop. It could save you quite a bit of money! In the meantime, maybe work on figuring out what games and settings are most important to you, so you have a good idea when the time is right to buy.

Totally agree! Prices fluctuate a lot right now. Waiting might allow you to snag a much better deal later.
