Which Monitor Resolution Should I Choose for Gaming?

I recently built a new gaming PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 7700x CPU, an RTX 5070 GPU, and 16GB of RAM. Currently, I'm using an older 1920x1080p monitor with a 75Hz refresh rate, and I'm able to get high frame rates in my games. I'm considering upgrading to a higher resolution monitor. I've seen friends playing on 4K monitors like the G9 Odyssey, which looks amazing, but I'm unsure if I should invest in a 4K monitor or stick with 2K (1440p) gaming instead. My budget is around 300 EUR. What do you think would be the best option, and do you have any recommendations for brands or specific models?

Going with a 1440p monitor is a solid choice! At your budget, you’ll find some great options that can offer a good refresh rate, like 165Hz. This resolution will look fantastic with your setup, especially for gaming. Plus, 4K might be stretching it a bit for that price range.

Are you suggesting 1440p because of budget concerns, or do you think my PC isn't powerful enough for 4K?
