I've noticed that my phone's battery seems to be draining incredibly fast after I updated to iOS 26.2 on Saturday night. I first noticed it when I was just listening to music, and before I knew it, my battery was down to 5% in an hour. The odd part is that when the phone died, I turned it back on, and it showed a full charge. Then, it died again just 30 seconds later. When I tried to charge it during my break, it came back to life and showed 67%. Despite checking, my battery health is still normal. Should I take it to Apple for a check-up or wait a couple of days for the update to stabilize?

What model are you using? Knowing the battery capacity could help, too. Perhaps it’s just a calibration issue or you’re experiencing typical behavior after an update. Sometimes, the new software needs time to settle.
It could be a few different issues causing this problem. Sometimes, very low temperatures can mess with your battery voltage. Also, if the battery isn't calibrated properly or has any underlying issues, that can lead to rapid draining too. It's worth checking those things out.

It's an iPhone 15 Plus, and the battery capacity is at 87%.
