Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading my GPU to prepare for the future, especially with all the talk about upcoming GPU shortages. Right now, I'm running a 3080 12GB paired with an i7-12700K and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I have a few questions:
1. Do you think moving to the 5070 Ti is a good decision considering my current setup? My rig performs well, but I'm worried it might not hold up in a year or two. I'd hate to see the resale value of my 3080 drop while GPU prices go up.
2. With my CPU being a couple of years old and using DDR4 RAM, should I expect any bottlenecks? I game at 1440p now, but I might upgrade to 4K later, so that could help with bottleneck issues.
3. Should I wait a few weeks before selling my 3080? I've heard the resale market could improve for sellers soon.

Honestly, I don’t think upgrading is essential right now. Have you checked the temperatures on your 3080? If it’s running too hot, it could just be time for a thermal paste change—and that could boost your performance without needing a new card.
