I'm considering upgrading my graphics card from a 5700XT to a 9060XT to boost my performance at 1440P. Eventually, I plan to switch to an AM5 system next year, but for now, I'm using a 3700X processor and 48GB of RAM. I can find a 9060XT for about 650 CAD (around 470 USD). Is this a good move, or would it be overkill given my current setup?

Upgrading to a 9060XT might be a decent choice for your current setup, but it's worth noting that it may not fully utilize the potential of an AM5 upgrade down the line. For most games at 1440P, this card sits on the lower end, especially if you're aiming for high settings. Just keep in mind that it could be a bottleneck when you do upgrade your whole system.

Really? So, you think it won't last me for 3-4 years with decent performance?
