Help! My PC Can’t Detect Wi-Fi What Should I Do?

My sibling built a PC but can't get the Wi-Fi to work. After installing Windows, there's no Wi-Fi option available—only Ethernet. We believe we downloaded the right drivers, but they haven't made a difference. In Device Manager, there are issues with the generic Bluetooth adapter, network controller, and an unknown device. The Bluetooth adapter shows a message that it 'has stopped because it reported problems', and the other two devices indicate 'there are no compatible drivers for this device'. They're using an MSI B850M Gaming Plus Wi-Fi 6E motherboard and got the drivers from the MSI website. Any suggestions to fix this? Thanks a lot!

Did you remember to screw the antennas back on? If the antennas that came with your motherboard aren't properly attached, it could be causing the issue.

Have you checked if a Wi-Fi antenna is connected? Sometimes, the motherboard needs an external antenna to detect Wi-Fi properly. Make sure that’s plugged in if you have one.

It's crucial to address any issues in Device Manager. If there are unknown devices or any warning symbols, it indicates a driver problem. Make sure you download and install all the necessary drivers for your motherboard model from the manufacturer’s site. If that doesn't resolve the Wi-Fi issue, you might want to try reseating the Wi-Fi module on the motherboard. It could be loose and not being detected.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try reseating the module and check the drivers again.
