I'm considering a new laptop, but I'm not super tech-savvy. I keep coming across Copilot+ on various shopping sites. Can someone explain what it is? Is it something I really need? And overall, is it good or bad?

It's designed for systems that ensure AI features of the OS run smoothly. It means they’ve optimized the CPU and GPU for AI tasks. But if you’re just doing everyday stuff, it might not matter much to you.
Copilot+ is just AI in the operating system. If you don’t see a need for it, it’s not a big deal. I usually only use AI when I really need it, and I wouldn't stress over having this feature.
Copilot+ is basically Microsoft's AI tool that’s integrated across all their platforms like Windows, Office, and Edge. Most likely, you won't need it. Even if you do require some AI features for work, you probably wouldn't use Copilot specifically.

Honestly sounds like just another way to make us pay more.
