Hey everyone! I just completed my first PC build, and I'm feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. However, when I try to power it on, the DRAM light stays on, and I'm not sure what's causing it. I've already attempted resetting the BIOS, swapping out the RAM, and changing the RAM slots without any luck. Is there anything else I should check or be aware of?

Have you checked all your connections? Make sure the RAM is properly seated in the slots and that there are no bent pins on your CPU socket. It's also a good idea to ensure your power supply cables are fully plugged in. If possible, try to boot with just one stick of RAM and see if that helps!

Good tip! Also, if you have access to another compatible RAM stick, testing with that can help identify if your current RAM is faulty.

It looks like you have a solid setup. Sometimes, the motherboard may need a BIOS update to work correctly with certain processors. If you haven’t already, check if there’s an update available for your Gigabyte motherboard.
