Issues with New Build and 5080 Graphics Card

I recently assembled a new computer and installed a 5080 graphics card, but I'm encountering crashes soon after posting. I've tried a clean installation of drivers using DDU, reinstalled Windows, and updated the BIOS, but the problem persists. However, when I swap in my old 3060 graphics card, everything runs smoothly. I'm not sure what to do next. Here are my build specs:

- Power Supply: 1200w PSU
- CPU: 9800x3D
- Motherboard: Asus Rog x870E Gaming
- Graphics Card: Asus Prime 5080
- RAM: Gskill 32GB DDR5

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

What method did you use to connect the 5080? Which cables are you using with it?

Initially, I used the Nvidia 3 8-pin to 16-pin adapter. Then, I switched to a new 1200w ROG PSU that has a native 16-pin connector to see if that made a difference. Before this, I was using a Corsair RM850x.

It sounds like you can’t even boot into Windows with the 5080 installed, right? Are you seeing the Windows loading circle before it crashes, or does it fail to even reach that point? Also, can you get access to the BIOS? It’s good to check your power connections closely to make sure everything is secure. What PSU are you using? Have you thought about booting from a Linux live USB just to rule out a Windows issue? If that doesn't work either, the GPU could be faulty or there might be a problem with the motherboard or PSU. Trying the 5080 in a different working setup could really help narrow it down.

I can get into the BIOS and see the image, but after I log in, it crashes within a couple of minutes and the system becomes really laggy.
