Which is the Better Choice: MSI or Gigabyte for an RTX 5070?

I'm finally ready to get my first GPU and I've narrowed it down to two models of the RTX 5070: the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 GAMING OC and the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Gaming Trio OC. Since I've never owned a dedicated GPU before, I'm unsure which option to go for. Can anyone help me decide between these two brands?

Honestly, go for whichever one is more affordable. Just keep in mind that Gigabyte's recent boards might not have the more durable thermal paste technology (PTM) that some other brands do, which means you might need to replace the thermal paste in about five years. If there’s a $10 difference and one has PTM, I'd lean toward that one for longevity.

I've had some mixed feelings about Gigabyte. Their products can be hit or miss; sometimes their software might work nicely, and other times it just doesn't. I had a Gigabyte card with pretty noisy fans, so I wouldn't recommend them unless they're significantly cheaper. MSI has been more reliable for me.

But honestly, all brands have their budget and premium models. You can't really just say one is worse; they all have their share of issues, don't you think?
