I currently have an AMD RX 6600 paired with a Ryzen 5 5500, and I've been offered an upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600X for just $20. Should I go for it?

I’m a bit suspicious about this ‘offer’. Just make sure it’s legitimate before jumping in.

Absolutely! The Ryzen 5 5600X offers PCIe 4.0 support and is definitely a stronger CPU. You'll notice the difference.

The X variant is unlocked, which means you can tweak it for better performance. Just make sure to cool it properly!

Without a doubt, yes!

I would definitely recommend the upgrade. Just keep in mind if you're on a tight budget, you'll need to buy a separate cooling fan, but those aren’t very expensive.

Since you already have the Ryzen 5500, you can probably reuse your existing fan, so that’s a plus!

For $20? Totally worth it! The 5600X has double the cache, which greatly improves performance in most games.
