Help! OpenSUSE Boots to GRUB Terminal Instead of Starting Up

I recently installed OpenSUSE, but I'm running into problems because instead of booting into the operating system, I'm directed to the GNU GRUB terminal. I tried disabling and re-enabling Secure Boot, but now I can't get Windows to start either—it asks for the BitLocker key. I even allocated some extra space for EFI during installation, and everything seemed to go smoothly then, but now neither OpenSUSE nor Windows will boot properly. Can anyone help me figure this out?

First off, try completely disabling Secure Boot in your BIOS settings if you haven't already done so. Sometimes just toggling it doesn't fully disable it. If that still doesn't work, you can also try booting from a Live USB and using it to reinstall GRUB. You might also want to check if your device is set to boot in UEFI or Legacy mode, depending on how you initially set it up.

I had a similar issue once. If it helps, I had to do a full reinstall of GRUB using a Live USB after Secure Boot was disabled. It fixed my booting problems completely!

If the GRUB reinstallation doesn't help, I suggest looking into the EFI system partition. Make sure it's set up correctly, as any misconfiguration there could lead to boot issues.

You could try using your Microsoft account to recover the BitLocker key, especially if the key was saved with your device name. Once you can access Windows again, don't forget to disable both BitLocker and Fast Startup for smoother dual-booting in the future.

Yeah, I checked, but for some reason my device isn't showing up on the Microsoft site. I'm kind of at a standstill.

Hope you can recover your key soon! Once you're in Windows, tweaking those BitLocker and Fast Startup settings will really help.
