Hey everyone! I need some help figuring out if I really have malware on my computer. Malwarebytes flagged a file as malicious, but I ran it through VirusTotal and I'm not sure about the results. I deleted the .exe file, and it hasn't come back since. Is it possible that it was just a false alarm? Should I be worried and wipe my entire system, or am I safe? Thank you!

Honestly, if you're unsure about a file, it’s best to treat it as if it is malware. Don’t run it, especially if it was in a weird folder. Better safe than sorry, right? Always make sure to keep your antivirus updated, and don’t install anything suspicious.
Definitely sounds like it could be malware, especially since Malwarebytes flagged it. It's a good sign you deleted it before running it. Just monitor your system for any weird behavior and keep your antivirus software up to date. If it popped up in a temporary folder, that’s usually a red flag. You’re probably okay, but it’s always good to be cautious.
If Malwarebytes flagged it, that's usually a strong indication that something's not right. I mean, 25 out of 72 security vendors flagged that file as malicious, so I'd definitely be cautious. If you didn't run the file and deleted it, that's a good start. Just to be safe, you might want to run a full scan with Windows Defender too, since some people find it really effective. Stay vigilant!
