I'm looking for recommendations on a good GPU that costs between $450 and $550. I plan to play games like Elden Ring and Expedition 33, but I also need it to handle schoolwork with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

If there's a Micro Center nearby, they have the Asrock 9070 XT for $580. It's a little over budget, but you're going to see a significant performance boost with it.

I just bought it today myself! I had to upgrade my power supply, but I’m excited to have easy access to two Micro Centers.

For what you're planning to do, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is a solid choice. It handles decent gaming while also providing plenty of VRAM for productivity tasks.

If you're looking to buy new, consider the regular 5070 or 9070 in that price range. They're good options for your requirements.

For your needs, I'd definitely recommend going with an NVIDIA GPU instead of AMD for better productivity performance. In your budget, a 5070 12GB or 5060 Ti 16GB would be solid choices. If you can stretch a bit, the 5070 Ti is a great option, but it's pricier. You might want to buy soon, though, as prices are likely to rise soon.

Considering both gaming and productivity, the 9060 XT 16GB and 5060 Ti 16GB are good contenders. The 9060 XT gives you a better frames-per-dollar ratio in games, while the 5060 Ti excels in Adobe applications. They perform similarly in gaming, so pick based on whether you prioritize productivity or just gaming performance.
