Why do my iPhone photos lose quality after transferring from my laptop?

I'm having an issue with photos taken from my Nikon camera. I transfer them to my iPhone using Phone Link on my Windows laptop, and they look perfect when they're in my files. However, when I save those photos to my iPhone's Photos app, some of them lose quality. Interestingly, the ones that look blurry sometimes appear fine when I edit them in Adobe Lightroom Mobile. Any advice on how to fix this issue?

It sounds like Phone Link might be compressing your images during transfer, which can lead to loss of quality. Check the file sizes at each step to pinpoint where the drop happens. You might want to try plugging your phone directly into the laptop and dragging the files over instead of using the app, or look for software that doesn’t compress the files.

I noticed the quality only decreases when saving from Files to Photos, not during the initial transfer via Phone Link. So it seems like that step is where the issue arises.
