I'm starting a programming course soon and need a new laptop since my current one is outdated and not up to the task. I have a budget of about 300-350 euros. What would you recommend as the best laptops for someone just starting out in coding? Any specific models or features I should look for? Thanks!

If you're looking for alternatives, consider a used MacBook Air with an M1 chip. It might be a bit pricier but offers fantastic performance for programming and will serve you well for a long time!
Honestly, any decent laptop can do for starting out. Just ensure it has at least an Intel i5 or Ryzen 5 processor and enough RAM. You don’t need a gaming laptop to begin learning programming!
ThinkPads are always a solid choice! I've been using mine for years now, and I love it. If you can get one, try installing Linux on it; it really enhances the experience. Plus, the keyboards are second to none!
Totally agree! I switched to a ThinkPad a few years back and it's still going strong.
You should focus on getting something with at least 16GB of RAM and an SSD. Look for models like the Lenovo ThinkPad T480, Dell Latitude 5400, or the HP EliteBook 840 G5. Used or refurbished are your best bets in your budget.
I've got a T480 and it's been amazing for everything—got it second hand and it's in great shape!

That’s a great suggestion, especially for development work. Macs have a solid ecosystem for coding!
