Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC and need some advice on selecting the right UPS. Currently, I have the following specs: an Intel Core i5 14600K, a Cooler Master Hyper 212 for cooling, MSI MAG B760M Mortar motherboard, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 memory, and a Corsair RM750E 750W power supply. I'm planning to replace my RX 6500 XT GPU with an RTX 5070 Ti and want to ensure everything runs smoothly. However, I've been experiencing issues where my PC shuts down while gaming, specifically during Fortnite sessions. This includes the UPS shutting off too, which concerns me. My house runs on solar power during outages, and I notice that when we switch to solar, these shutdowns happen more frequently. My current UPS is a Fingers FR-1250LCD line interactive model. I'm considering moving to a pure sine wave UPS but would love to know if this would solve my problems. Any recommendations on the right UPS and whether the shutdowns will persist with a new unit? Thanks!

Definitely switch to a pure sine wave UPS. It significantly reduces the chances of any shutdowns occurring. It's possible your current UPS can't handle the load from your setup, especially when you're gaming hard. Upgrading could really help stabilize your system while you're gaming off solar power. Just make sure to check the amp rating to ensure it fits your new GPU's needs!

You might want to check the cooling for your CPU first—considering that cooler might not be up to the task under load. If the CPU overheats, it could trigger shutdowns. However, if the UPS is shutting down too, it suggests there's a bigger issue at play. I recommend getting a pure sine wave UPS for a system like yours, especially with that new GPU coming in. It'll provide better compatibility and stability during power fluctuations.
