I'm experiencing some overheating issues with my Gigabyte 9070XT GPU. The hotspot temperature often exceeds 110°C during gaming, even when I crank the fans up to max. This has led to my PC crashing frequently. I'm not sure what steps I should take to resolve this problem. Any suggestions?

I get temps over 100°C even in the CS2 lobby. It's frustrating, right? I heard that some early batches of this model had problems with leaking thermal putty, which could be causing the overheating. You might need to consider an RMA if that's the case.

If you bought it from a retail store, you need to check the Gigabyte website to submit an RMA request. They'll guide you through the process.

Is this overheating a new issue for you, or has it always been like this?

I've had the GPU for about three months now. I didn't realize the crashes were caused by the hot temperatures at first; I thought it was my PSU. But now that I checked, this has been a problem from the start.

And by the way, are you also hearing loud coil whine from your GPU? That's another sign that something might not be right.
