I'm having trouble accessing my old notebook without the password. I've been following the method where you press Shift + Restart, go to Advanced Options, then to Command Prompt and try to rename the utilman.exe file. Unfortunately, when I click on the Accessibility option, nothing happens. I've used this method before successfully, but now it seems to be failing. Also, I'm running Windows 11, and when I type 'ren cmd.exe utilman' it gives me an error saying it can't find the file. Can anyone help?

Just a heads up, this forum can't assist you with accessing your Windows computer without using your password. It’s best to reach out to Windows support for guidance on how to reset or recover your password safely.
It sounds like there might be a typo in your command or something else going wrong. Double-check what you're typing to make sure it’s exact. If you can, take a picture of the error message to help clarify the issue. Good luck!
I’ll try again later! If it still doesn’t work, I’ll share a picture of the error.
I tried redoing it, but it gives me this: 'C:windowssystem32 ren utilman.exe ultiman_backup.exe - The system couldn't find the specified file.' It seems like it can't find utilman or cmd.

Alright, I guess I’ll contact Windows support for help.
