Will My PC Have a Bottleneck?

I'm putting together my first PC build and I'm curious if my Ryzen 7 7700X CPU and RTX 5060 8GB GPU could potentially cause any performance issues, known as bottlenecks. I considered going for a cheaper CPU, but I got the 7700X as part of a bundle at Micro Center which included 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a motherboard for $500.

It should run smoothly. If anything, your GPU might hold back the CPU depending on the games you play, especially at 1080p.

Every PC has some level of bottlenecking. But don't stress too much about it! The Ryzen 7 7700X and RTX 5060 will pair well together. The 7700X has enough power to match faster GPUs if you ever want to upgrade.

Thank you for the reassurance!

Honestly, we usually only worry about GPU bottlenecks. Your GPU should be the most expensive part of your build. You should be good with this setup.

I don't see any significant issues with the CPU in terms of bottleneck, but for modern and upcoming games, you might want to invest in a GPU with at least 16GB of VRAM. The 8GB from the 5060 might be limiting, especially with the PCIe limits it has, which could cause it to use system RAM if it runs low on VRAM.

What GPUs would you suggest for better performance?
