Is My PC Safe Without Grounding in My House?

I'm living in a flat that doesn't have grounding, which makes me worry about my computer. I've noticed that when the power supply unit (PSU) is plugged in, I can see small sparks around that area if I use a screwdriver, and I can feel a slight current when I touch it. Thankfully, I've been using my PC this way for almost three years without any major issues. However, now that I've bought an expensive new GPU, I'm concerned that it might be at risk due to the lack of grounding. The current seems more pronounced in the unpainted parts of the case, which are close to the GPU. Does anyone have advice on how to mitigate this issue?

Consider making your own grounding setup using a copper wire, if possible. It’s not just your PC that’s at risk; any exposed metal in your flat might conduct electricity and cause harm. The safety of your environment is really the priority here!

Not having a ground in your house can definitely be dangerous! While your PC might be working fine now, it poses a risk if there’s a surge or grounding issue. That visible spark you see could indicate a serious problem waiting to happen. If you can’t get grounding installed, make sure to insulate any exposed metal, and definitely stop using a screwdriver while the machine is plugged in—it's a recipe for disaster!

Yeah, it's shocking how many places still lack proper grounding. I've seen people in older buildings facing similar issues. It's really important to find ways to protect your expensive tech!
