Is my setup going to bottleneck with a new GPU and CPU?

Hey everyone! I currently have a GTX 1660 Super paired with a Ryzen 5 3600. I'm considering upgrading to an RX 9060 XT with 16GB and switching to a Ryzen 5 5600X. I have a B450M motherboard that's about 1.5 months old and two power supply units: a reliable 450W PSU and an 800W PSU that isn't very trustworthy. Should I use my 450W PSU for this new setup, or would it be better to rely on the 800W one? Also, I'd love to know if AMD processors are genuinely good!

Always refer to the GPU specs for the minimum or recommended PSU wattage. If it states 450W, keep in mind that’s often under ideal conditions. For high-end gaming or heavy loads, having that higher wattage (even if less reliable) might be better, but it's a trade-off. Just be cautious with the unreliable one!

Exactly! You want something you can depend on, especially for a higher-end GPU.

Before making any changes, you should check the specific model of your 450W PSU. Some cheaper power supplies might claim 450W but actually provide less power on the important 12V rail, which your GPU will need. It's essential to ensure your PSU can safely support your new hardware.

Yeah, that's a good point! Even if it says 450W, it might not be enough under load.
