I'm in a bit of a dilemma with my iPhone 13, which I've had for about three years. Recently, its battery health plummeted from 88% to just 57% in only a week and a half. I've already scheduled a battery replacement at the Apple Store, which will cost me £85. However, I'm wondering if it's worth getting the battery replaced or if I should just wait to upgrade to a new phone. I just spent £1200 on a new laptop for Christmas, so I'm not in a position to buy a new iPhone right now. I have an old Android phone I can use temporarily, but all my data is on this iPhone, and I need it for when I do get a new one. If I get the battery replaced, do you think it would last me another year until I'm ready to buy a new phone around my birthday?

Honestly, for £85, you could keep your phone running for another few years. It might make sense to invest in the battery now and then get a refurbished phone later that suits your budget. I've had old models that still work fine, even without new batteries!
I'd look into non-Apple repair shops too. They sometimes offer battery replacements for less, and they're often just as reliable. Just get the battery replaced and keep using your phone for now.
Just go for the battery replacement! It's a reasonable price and should give your phone a new lease on life. If there aren’t any major issues like a cracked screen, you'll still get decent trade-in value later on.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if the replacement would hold up for that long. I’ve heard older models stop getting updates after a while, so I'm worried it won't be viable for years.
