Should I Be Worried About My iPhone’s Battery Health?

I recently bought a used iPhone 14 Plus. The seller showed me that its battery health was 93% in the pictures, but when I checked it in person, it read 92%. I brushed it off, thinking it wasn't a big deal. The seller didn't mention any battery replacements, and I took him at his word. However, after just 12 days of daily use, I've seen the battery health drop from 92% to 91%, and now it's down to 89%. I'm getting a bit frustrated and worried that I might have been scammed. I paid around $330 for this phone, which had a repaired back glass, but that was the only issue mentioned. I primarily use it for light tasks like TikTok, Instagram, and messaging.

This is often what happens when you go for a used phone instead of buying from authorized sellers. There's a chance it has a cheaper battery that could affect overall performance and health. Make sure to keep an eye on it, and consider getting it checked out if the numbers keep dropping fast.

I didn’t think of that! I really need to be more careful next time.

The battery health readings can change based on how the phone is used. If the previous owner hardly used it, the battery stats might have looked better on their end. Once you started using it regularly, the battery health likely adjusted to reflect more accurate usage patterns. It's worth noting that the stats can sometimes seem worse if the phone has more cycles.

That makes sense! The seller did say he mostly used a different phone, so it could explain the difference.
