How Do I Remove the Plastic Slider on My GPU?

I'm new to PC building and I bought a prebuilt PC from AWDIT that came with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070. I noticed there's a sliding piece of plastic on the top that has 'Gigabyte' on it, and I'm not sure if I should remove it or how to do that. A video I watched suggested removing all plastic, but it looks like this piece is meant to slide back and forth. I'm a bit confused, especially since I just started and this is my first time asking for help. Sorry if this sounds silly. I've attached some pictures of the part for reference.

Forget about removing it altogether. Just slide it where you want it, and it can add a nice touch to your build!

It sounds like you're talking about a sliding cover on the card, typically meant for looks. You can just slide it back and forth to adjust it—no need to remove it completely! I have a Gigabyte 5070 Ti with the same slider, and I just leave mine on.

Thanks for clarifying! I'll leave it as it is.

Just to clarify, it seems like there might be some confusion. You mentioned ASUS Prime but the 'Gigabyte' text suggests it's actually a Gigabyte GPU. If that's the case, just check the official page for your graphics card model and look for the 'sliding side plate' feature mentioned. It’s a design element, so there's no need to remove it.

If you're unsure, I recommend checking out the specs on Gigabyte's website for your specific model. They have a section explaining that feature. But generally, it’s just a customizable piece for your setup, so no harm in leaving it on!
