I'm currently using a 3060 TI and was considering an upgrade to a 5070 TI. Unfortunately, it's hard to find one in stock, and prices are way above MSRP right now. I started looking into the 9070 XT instead, but I'm concerned about its performance, especially for both older games like Fallout: New Vegas and newer ones like Stalker 2. I've heard mixed reviews about AMD drivers, and since I've never used AMD before, I'm feeling a bit anxious about making the switch. Would the 9070 XT be a good upgrade for me?

Don't worry too much about the drivers; they've been stable for a while now. The 9070 XT is a great choice unless you specifically need CUDA for certain applications.
Yeah, I'd definitely consider driver experiences from multiple users before jumping in.
I'd say only go for the 9070 XT if you're getting a good deal. Otherwise, it might be worth waiting for the 5070 TI to become available again since it could offer better longevity.
Yeah, it's true that benchmarks can show a mixed bag, but I'm all for supporting competition in the GPU market.
Waiting could definitely pay off if you're looking for a better long-term investment.
Great card for the price, and it should be a significant upgrade from your current setup. I switched from a 3080 to the 9070 XT and am very pleased with the solid framerates and performance.
If you're switching from NVIDIA to AMD, you might want to use Display Driver Uninstaller or at least do a clean Windows install. The 9070 XT is a good option within your budget.
That's not necessarily the case. I just uninstalled my NVIDIA drivers and swapped the cards with no issues at all!
Good to hear! I guess it varies from system to system.
Yes, the 9070 XT is a solid card and it's pretty comparable to the 5070 TI. You should definitely consider it if the 5070 is out of reach.
I made the switch from a 3060 TI to the 9070 XT a couple of months ago, and it's been fantastic! I'm seeing a major performance boost. You won't be disappointed if you go for it.
I went from a 3080 10GB to the 9070 XT and also noticed a significant leap in performance.
That sounds promising! I'm eager to see more comparisons between these cards.

My experience has been different, though. I've had way more issues with my AMD cards compared to NVIDIA over the years.
