I was trying to install NVIDIA drivers and, regrettably, I followed a command suggested by a chatbot without really understanding what it did. I think it was something like 'purge *nvidia'. Now, everything's a mess! My system is only recognizing one monitor at a super low resolution of 400x200, and I can't change it. Plus, my Wi-Fi isn't working at all. I've attempted to boot from a live USB to reinstall drivers, but that didn't solve anything. I even connected my computer directly to the router to get internet and updated/reinstalled as many drivers as I could find, but no luck. Am I going to have to backup everything and wipe my SSD to reinstall Linux Mint, or is there a way to fix this without going that far?

You might want to try reinstalling the drivers from your driver manager. Sometimes it gets stuck during the installation process, so check for any updates or tweaks you can make there.

I've done that multiple times! The manager just keeps rebuilding the same driver over and over, and even after it says it's done, restarting does nothing. I'm stuck!
