I'm planning to upgrade my graphics card to the Palit GeForce RTX 5070 Infinity 3 with 12GB for 630 euros. Currently, I have a GTX 1080 Ti. Before I finalize my purchase, I want to know if there are any important factors I should consider, especially regarding compatibility with cables and potential bottleneck issues. Here's my current setup:

- GPU: GTX 1080 Ti
- CPU: i7-8700
- RAM: 32GB 3200MHz
- Motherboard: Z370-P
- Case: NW2310 Vaqnuish DB4, ATX Tower

Also, I do struggle with temperatures using my old GPU, so I'm curious about any cooling considerations as well.

Just to add, the power supply actually makes a huge difference. If you have the XPREDATOR 1000GM 80 Plus Gold, you should be fine. Also, don't worry too much about cables—just make sure you've got the necessary connectors for the RTX 5070, and you should be good to go!

You're going to have a solid upgrade! Everything should be compatible with your setup, but keep in mind that your CPU might bottleneck the GPU a bit, particularly in more demanding games. It might limit your performance, but for now, just upgrading to the 5070 will definitely give you a boost! Remember to check your power supply too!

As long as you’re not running the latest AAA titles that require more processing power, your setup should handle most things just fine. Just keep an eye on CPU usage during gaming; if you hit 100%, then your i7-8700 is capping your GPU's performance. But for casual gaming and video editing, you should enjoy the new card!
