I've been stuck troubleshooting for hours now, and I'm running out of ideas. Here's the setup I've got:
- AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D
- Radeon RX 7900 XT
- Asus ROG B650E-I motherboard
- 32GB DDR5 RAM (2x 16GB at 6000MHz)
- NZXT H1 case with the included cooler and a 750W PSU
I recently upgraded my system from AM4 to AM5, keeping everything else except for the motherboard, RAM, and CPU. The old parts were working perfectly earlier today, so I'm pretty sure they're not faulty.
I managed to power the system, but I'm not getting any display output. My theory is that the NZXT H1 riser cable is PCIe Gen 4, while the motherboard is Gen 5. However, I can't access the BIOS to adjust anything. I'm currently trying to boot the motherboard outside the case with the GPU connected directly, but still no BIOS display. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried booting using the integrated graphics? A good troubleshooting method is to start with just the essentials—so just the CPU, one RAM stick, and the monitor connected to the motherboard. After that, you can add additional components gradually to see what might be causing the issue. It's worth a shot!
Clearing the CMOS fixed my display issue. If anyone else is having a problem like this, give that a try!
Did you remember to update the BIOS on the motherboard? Sometimes the latest updates can solve compatibility issues.
Yes, I flashed it and there were no errors that I could see. I actually had some DRAM issues before the flash but it seems fine now.
I would, but I don’t have an HDMI cable, and my motherboard doesn’t have a DisplayPort.
