Hey everyone! I've been keeping an eye on my RAM usage lately, and I've noticed something strange. Even with just a basic setup and freshly installed 32GB of RAM, the total usage shown in Task Manager doesn't seem to add up. Right now, the highest RAM usage appears to be around 200MB from my antivirus when no other programs are running, yet the total still shows between 6-7GB after restarting my PC. My computer is quite new and I built it myself, and my startup programs don't seem to affect performance much since it boots up in just a few seconds. I've attached a few screenshots for reference: Task Manager, Resources, and RamMap. It's not a huge issue for me just yet, but I worry that if it isn't addressed now, it could become worse later. Any advice you could share would be really appreciated! Thanks! Specs: Windows 11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, 32GB DDR5.

Honestly, what you're seeing looks pretty normal to me. Windows often keeps some cached memory to speed things up, so even if you think the numbers don't add up, they might actually be fine. It’s just how the system manages RAM. I'd advise keeping an eye on it but I wouldn’t worry too much for now.
7GB on standby is a bit surprising, especially since you have 32GB total. I get that it can feel off, especially since my old laptop only had 8GB and never used so much. But Windows handles memory differently. It’s meant to utilize RAM for efficiency, like caching things to make everything faster. Maybe check the processes running in Task Manager to see if anything sticks out.
