Can I restore my missing Safari tabs by erasing my iPhone and using an iCloud backup?

I recently faced a frustrating issue where all my Safari tabs vanished from my iPhone, including the organized tab groups! Thankfully, I found that the tab groups were still accessible on my iPad and I managed to get those back. However, my main section of tabs is still missing. I checked, and my last iCloud backup was taken before this happened, with Safari sync enabled on both devices. So now, I'm wondering if I erase my iPhone and restore it from the last iCloud backup, will that bring back my main section of tabs?

First things first, double-check your iCloud settings on both your iPhone and iPad. Go to Settings > Your Name > iCloud, and then look for the 'Saved to iCloud' section. Make sure the Safari sync is toggled on for both devices. If, for whatever reason, it’s off on one of them, your tabs won't sync properly. If your iPad is set correctly, try deleting all your tabs from your iPhone, then toggle the Safari sync back on to see if those tabs pop up. If the iPhone is the one with sync on, try the opposite approach. Just don't forget to make sure they're synced correctly before you erase anything!

I've been in a similar situation, and just like you, I was worried about losing tabs. But I think it’s worth checking the sync status again. Sometimes toggling it off and on can refresh the link! Good luck!
