No Display After CPU Upgrade—What Should I Do?

I attempted to upgrade my CPU from a Ryzen 3 3300 to a Ryzen 5 5600, but I made the mistake of not updating the motherboard's BIOS first. After installing the new CPU, I encountered no display on boot, so I switched back to my old CPU, but still faced the same issue. I'm not sure how to resolve this problem. Any suggestions?

Stay calm; panicking won’t help! I suggest turning off the monitor and unplugging it for a minute. Then, plug it back in and try to boot into the BIOS. If it boots, you can reset the BIOS settings and see if that fixes the display issue.

Try clearing the CMOS. Since your Biostar B450MH doesn’t have a flashback feature, locate the JBAT1 jumper and short it to reset your BIOS settings.

Have you checked if your motherboard supports BIOS flashback? That's a feature on many modern boards and could help you get your new CPU working after a successful update.

Honestly, it's possible you may have accidentally shorted something on the motherboard while upgrading. Double-check to make sure everything is seated properly.
