Hey everyone! My RTX 2060 6GB just kicked the bucket, and I'm currently stuck using my old GTX 1050 Ti until I can pick out a new GPU. I've been researching models and prices all day, but I'm having a tough time deciding. My system has a B350M motherboard with a Ryzen 3600 and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. The PSU is 550W (silver rated), but it's also quite old. I mainly play story-driven and a few multiplayer games at 1080p, and I utilize DLSS wherever possible. Due to the size of my case and PSU cabling, I'm limited to cards with 2 fans and an 8-pin power connector.
Initially, I was considering a used 3060 Ti, but prices used are exorbitant in my area. Now I'm looking at the 5060 Ti and 9060 XT, both with 16GB versions due to my motherboard supporting PCIe 3.0. The 5060 Ti is around 80 Euros more than the 9060 XT, but I'm hesitant about both since they seem like overkill given my specs and price range. Is there a better option I'm overlooking, or am I just experiencing a bit of FOMO?

Honestly, I'd steer clear of the 40 and 50-series cards for PCIe 3.0 systems. If you're looking for a solid option, a 3080 or 3080 Ti could be worthwhile, but just make sure your PSU can handle it!
The 5060 Ti and 9060 XT both have their perks, but I think you're right in feeling they're overkill. If you're not planning to upgrade your CPU soon, consider looking at something cheaper like a B580 or similar for better value. It'll still outperform your 1050 Ti!
It won't be perfect, but it will definitely be a step up! You can even game at some lower FPS on 1440p with the 3600.
Sucks to hear about your GPU! If you can swing it, the 9060 XT should be a decent upgrade for your setup. Yes, it might bottleneck a bit with the Ryzen 3600, but you’ll definitely see better performance compared to your 1050 Ti!
I agree! The 3600 might hold it back, but you'll still enjoy smoother gameplay than what you're used to.

True, but a 3080 might be a bit much for your PSU. Just make sure to check the power requirements.
