Hey everyone! I recently bought a used EVGA 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra 12GB to replace my old GeForce 4060 8GB, hoping for better framerates and performance, especially in games like GTA5, MHWilds, Overwatch 2, ARK Ascended, Minecraft, and Wuthering Waves. However, I haven't seen any improvement; in fact, it's been performing worse than the 4060. I have an EVGA Bronze B2 Supernova 750W power supply and I'm using two 1080p monitors. My CPU is an i5-10400F, which is liquid cooled. Lately, my screens sometimes go black and then come back, the lighting on my peripherals freezes and requires a restart of the iCue app, and the audio has been choppy. Overall, my PC feels slow. I'm not sure if this is a PSU issue or if the CPU is holding everything back. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your CPU might be the bottleneck. For 1080p gaming, the i5-10400F can struggle to keep up, especially with CPU-intensive games. Check your CPU usage while gaming; it might be hitting high percentages and causing the GPU not to perform optimally. Upgrading to a better CPU like an i5-14600KF could help unleash more potential from your GPU.
Absolutely check your GPU usage as well! If you're not seeing high usage while playing at 1080p, that suggests your CPU might not be letting the GPU do its thing. My old 10700K struggled with similar issues at higher resolutions, and I had to adjust my setup for optimal performance.
I'm not sure about resolutions just yet, but maybe try a different monitor setup? It could help with the performance if you're ever thinking of upgrading!
Your power supply is on the lower end for a 3080 Ti. While 750W is technically enough, a quality 850W PSU is generally recommended for stability, especially under load. Ensure you're using separate PCIe cables for your GPU instead of a daisy chain, as this can impact power delivery and performance.
750W should be fine for most cases, but if you're facing soft crashes, it might be worth considering an upgrade when you can.

Yeah, I noticed similar issues when my CPU was maxed out too! It sounds like that could be a strong factor in your performance issues.
