I'm finally upgrading my old i5 from 2014, and I'm looking for recommendations for the best CPU for gaming that fits my budget of around $350. Keep in mind that I'm not in the US and hardware prices are generally higher here. I know people recommend the 9800X3D, but that one is out of my budget range.

The 7800X3D is the way to go. For the performance you’re getting, it’s a steal! It runs cool and pairs well with any GPU without bottlenecking.
If you can swing it, the 7800X3D is your best bet for performance in that price range. It really gives a great boost for gaming compared to older CPUs.
You should also consider that the total cost includes your motherboard and RAM. If you're budgeting $350 for a CPU, perhaps aim for $150 for the motherboard and around $200 for RAM. This way, you can get a solid bundle deal. But just a heads-up, I know this may vary depending on your local prices.
Definitely go for the 7800X3D! It's performing way better than my older 5600X, and I’ve also heard good things about the 9600X being a great budget option as well.
