I'm looking to breathe new life into my 2012 MacBook Pro by installing Linux. I've narrowed it down to two choices: Omarchy and PopOS, both featuring the Cosmic desktop environment. My main concern is stability—between these two options, which one is generally considered more stable?

Hey, I actually use GNOME too, but I'm curious about Cosmic as well. Is Omarchy really that bad for stability?
Are you really set on using the Cosmic desktop? Just asking because you might want to consider whether you're more into KDE or GNOME desktop environments instead. Also, if you're going with a 2012 MacBook, definitely check the Arch Wiki for specific network configuration tips—it can make things smoother for you!
Omarchy is built on Arch and uses Hyprland, while PopOS is the way to go if you want to stick with Cosmic Desktop. Just keep in mind that Cosmic on PopOS is still in Beta, so might come with some bugs. If stability is your priority, you might want to lean towards PopOS!
