No Display When My PC Wakes Up from Sleep – Help!

I've got a pretty solid PC setup with a 7700X processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 6800XT graphics card, all running on Windows 11 (version 24H2) with dual Acer XB21HBU monitors. I've not encountered any other technical issues, and I keep my system clean—no bloatware and I mainly use it for gaming. Unfortunately, I've been dealing with a frustrating problem for about a year now: when my PC goes to sleep, it often won't display anything when I try to wake it up. Hitting the keyboard doesn't work, and while the power button seems to turn the monitor on, there's no actual display. About once out of twenty times it seems to wake up properly. I've tried all sorts of fixes, including resets, driver upgrades, and reinstallations, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Does your motherboard have a video port? You could try connecting a monitor directly to it just to see if there's any output from the onboard video, it might help diagnose if it's a GPU issue or something else.

Yeah, I can definitely try that.

Have you checked your event logs for any clues? If you're tech-savvy, try to remote into the PC when it's in that no-video state. I've had a similar issue with a laptop, and it was a known problem for some models. If you can't resolve it, consider adjusting your power settings – you might want to disable sleep mode or set it to a longer duration, like 8 hours, just to avoid the hassle for now.

I'll look into the remote access option! Disabling sleep isn't ideal, but I want to fix this issue for good.

Good luck! I hope you find a solution.
