Hey everyone! I'm considering making the switch to Linux but I'm unsure which distribution to choose. I need an OS that works well with applications like Msi Dragon Center, the Nvidia app, and some Steam games. It's also important that I don't have to constantly use the command line to fix issues, as I'm pretty new to this whole scene. I've also heard about the option to dual boot with Linux. I'd really appreciate any recommendations you might have, and here are my PC specs: MSI, Intel Core i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz, 32GB RAM, 64-bit system with a Windows 11 Pro install.

You might want to check out the migration page for tips on switching to Linux! A popular distro for beginners is Linux Mint. It's user-friendly, has plenty of resources available, and resembles Windows, making the transition easier. Just keep in mind that the Nvidia app isn't available on Linux, but you may not need it anyway! Let's make your Linux journey smooth!
I suggest trying out a few different distros to see what you like. You can use something like DistroSea for a quick overview, and then test your favorites using Ventoy on a USB drive. Once you find one that fits, consider running it in a virtual machine for a few days to get comfortable. Plus, if you're not looking to tweak a lot, immutable OS options like Fedora Silverblue might be interesting to check out!

That’s a great point about the immutable OS! They can really simplify the experience for beginners.
