My iPhone 17 Pro Max Won’t Charge Again – Anyone Else Experience This?

I've had some major issues with my iPhone 17 Pro Max—this is actually my second one! The first phone stopped charging randomly after working fine with all my chargers, and I paid $100 to replace it through insurance. Now this new phone is doing the same thing! None of my seven chargers, including the original Apple charger, charge it at all. The frustrating part is that it does charge wirelessly, but I don't have a wireless charger and it's just not convenient. Has anyone else faced this problem, or is this a known issue? It's hard to believe this is happening again!

That $100 replacement seems steep for a charging issue. Did you ask what specifically caused that charge?

What kind of chargers and cables have you been using? Sometimes compatibility issues can cause charging failures.

I've used a bunch: the original ones that came with the phones, my work Android charger, and even some from Amazon. None of them are working.

If it's acting up again, you should definitely take it back to the store and show them the issue. It feels odd for two phones to have the same problem, but stranger things happen sometimes. Hope they sort it out for you!

I'm taking it in tomorrow. Just so confused and annoyed with it!

Sounds like one of those chargers might have damaged the charging circuitry. It's pretty rare but not impossible, especially with cheaper cables. Check out this video for some insight: https://youtu.be/mnk8amavanw?si=iRZDpQBzNOp6c_pk

I’ll check it out, thanks!
