Which PSU Should I Choose for Future Upgrades?

Hey everyone! I need to replace my PSU because I'm currently using one that's known for being unreliable. I'm looking at two options: the Seasonic FOCUS GX-750 and the MSI MAG A650GLS. My estimated wattage is around 339W, but I'm planning for the long term since I might keep this PSU for over 10 years. My main concern is, what if I upgrade to a GPU in the future that needs three 8-pin connectors? Neither of these PSUs comes with those cables. I'm also considering the price, as both of these options are priced at 103 euros and have an A- tier rating. Should I also consider a B-tier 550W PSU instead? Thanks for any advice!

That Be Quiet PSU sounds like a great choice! I see they also have a 550W version, which might just fit your needs perfectly. If it's quiet and has the right connectors, why not?

If you're worried about future GPUs needing three 8-pin connectors, most high-end cards these days come with adapters, and you can also find aftermarket ones quite easily. Honestly, if you're upgrading to something that powerful in 10 years, you'll likely want a new PSU anyway for better efficiency. Between the two you're considering, I'd personally choose the Seasonic. They have excellent warranty service and the build quality is really top-notch.

I'd recommend looking into the Be Quiet Pure Power 13M as well. It's one of the quietest units out there and comes with four 8-pin PCIe connectors, which could be really handy for future upgrades. Here's a link to it: [Be Quiet Pure Power 13M](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/yWJBD3/be-quiet-pure-power-13-m-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-bp026us). It's a solid option if you're considering alternatives.
