I just purchased some HM500 thermal paste, which was pretty inexpensive at around $2 for a tube. I've heard mixed opinions about its performance, especially for gaming. Since I plan to game a lot on my setup, I'm wondering if I should look for a more premium thermal grease or if the HM500 will work fine. My hardware includes a GeForce RTX 2060 GPU and an i5-12400F CPU.

Honestly, if you're not super experienced with PC building, replacing the thermal paste might not be the best move for you. It could actually make things worse if you're not careful. But if you're having heating issues, that might be a sign that you need to check the CPU paste. Just be cautious when doing it!

Should I just repaste the CPU then? I've had some heating problems lately and I suspect the paste got damaged when I adjusted my CPU cooler. My GPU's been running hot too, so I thought about doing both.
