I'm looking for a way to make my Caps Lock key work as the Shift key instead. Is there a way to reassign it so that when I press Caps Lock, it registers as Shift?

You can definitely do this! If you're on Windows, try using a tool called SharpKeys. For Linux, there's xcape, and for macOS, Karabiner Elements works well. I found SharpKeys pretty easy to set up, and it gives you the flexibility to customize your keys.
