I have a B450M Bazooka V2 motherboard, which I built into my PC back in 2019. Recently, I tried to update the BIOS to the latest version, but it messed everything up and I had to follow a tutorial to short circuit the motherboard to fix it. I want to know the proper way to update the BIOS without risking my PC again.

Did you follow the MSI documentation for the update? I found it’s a great way to ensure you’re doing everything in the right order. They also mention updating chipset drivers before attempting the BIOS update, just a heads up!
Does your PC work again after that BIOS update? Just curious if it’s still bricked or if you've managed to fix it.
Updating through a USB directly at boot is usually the safest method. That way, you don’t rely on Windows to interact with the BIOS chip. Also, make sure to check the release notes because if you’re far behind on updates, you might need to update to an intermediate version first, then go for the final one.

Thanks for the tip! I think I'm behind on a ton of updates, so that might be what I overlooked.
