I'm having a strange issue with my NVIDIA drivers since I updated to the latest version. My computer sometimes goes black-screen while the game audio continues, forcing me to restart. After I restart, the NVIDIA control panel says there's no driver installed and tries to reinstall a driver, which results in one of my monitors not working and some lag. However, when I disable and then re-enable my GPU in Device Manager, everything goes back to normal. Has anyone else experienced this? What could be causing this odd behavior? My GPU is an RTX5090.

One possibility is that your GPU and CPU might be conflicting in terms of display output. If your CPU has an integrated graphics card, it might be attempting to manage the display accidentally after a crash.
This seems odd, especially since you mentioned both monitors are connected to the GPU. Are you using an HDMI port on the motherboard for anything? Sometimes it can default back to that if the GPU crashes.
It sounds like your drivers could be corrupted or there might be a conflict with a Windows update. The files are probably there, but they're just not loading properly after the crash. Keeping an eye on it is a good idea.
That makes sense. If it keeps happening, you might want to roll back to the previous driver. I had a similar issue before and it fixed everything for me.

Nope, both monitors are plugged into the GPU via DisplayPort. I think what happened is my AMD display adapter took over and became the primary after the crash.
